My doctoral research inhabits an intersection of food, farming and artistic practice in order to interrogate the potential of pluriversal temporalities in a just transition for agriculture.

In his philosophical exploration of the stories we tell ourselves about time and culture, Federico Campagna says “My starting point is that the “world”, a cosmos, is not a “natural” thing but it is a “likely story” about reality.”
From this same starting point, I suggest that if we are emerging from a story of temporality as control, as accumulation, a tool of colonisation, a weapon of terracide and inequality, then the new story must be (as Arturo Escobar puts it) “centred on life, affirming of life. It has to weave and repair the very web of life and reintegrate the human into this enmeshment.”
