The Oat and the Oyster was feast developed with a text, a speculative fabulation written to explore the possibilities of an interspecies love story between two rhythmic bodies, united by water and the “gravimetric tide”.[1] It was shared with guests at the Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation at the launch of Frieze 2022, overlooking the River Thames at High Tide in October 2022, through a QR code link on the menu and at Rudimentary Rhythms at Delfina Foundation, where it was displayed as a print work and invoked during the seed sowing ritual.
[1] A “gravimetric tide” is the oscillatory phenomenon displayed by gravity when it is continuously observed over a period of time > 24 hours.
