Rural Voices is a series of breakfast talks curated by Cherry Truluck in a Horningsham Village Hall in Wiltshire with speakers expanding a narrative about rural resilience and the importance of spaces/communities like Horningsham. Speakers have included Charles Dowding, Julian Hight (ancient tree expert), Dr Olivia Chapple (founder of Horatio’s Garden) and Andrew Pickering (Author of ’The Witches of Selwood). The fascinating and eclectic range of speakers will continue to include farmers, writers, artists, historians and much more – many of them local – collectively weaving an amazing narrative tapestry about rural life and resilience.
At the next event on 5th April, the Gaia Foundation (including Welsh Seed Sovereignty coordinator Katie Hastings) will be leading the storytelling and conversation around seed sovereignty and the ‘Welsh Grain Rebels’ Llafur Ni. Book here
